2. Journalling veteran, or newbie?:
Both? I used to really be into scrapbooking and journaling pre-college but then fell out of it except for random entries now and then. Now I'm trying to get back into it and I'm considering myself a noob because I don't particularly like what I did.
3. Do you write in your journal, do art, or mix of both?:
I mix it up.
. If you're the arty type, what kind of art do you do?:
Sketches, word art, collages of things from that day/week/event/whatever.
5. If you're the writing type, what kind of things do you write about?:
In the past, I've written really long entries about my mental state, but currently, I'm using a very tiny journal without much room, so it's just sentence-long thoughts or memories, like: I wish I was a normal drunk person and did normal drunk things instead of abandoning the party to go fry eggs.
6. Why do you love to journal?
I have no idea. I think it's because I like to write, I like to be arty, I like pretty blank books, and I like to talk about myself ad naseum.
7. Do you collect anything for your journal, like deco tape/receipts/stickers?:
I collect lots of things. Primarily things like tickets, stickers from things I'm involved in, etc, but I also have a pretty rad stash of scrapbooking supplies left over from those days.
8. Any brands of journals or supplies that you swear by (Moleskine, Daler-Rowney paints, etc.)?:
Most of my favorite books were gifts, so no. Whenever I run out of space in said gifted books, I tend to turn to marble composition notebooks 'cause I'm cheap and they're my favorite kind of notebook.
9. What's your favourite journalling-related website? Do you have a journalling website?:
I don't have one. :/
10. What hobbies do you have, other than journalling?:
Photography, makeup, outdoors things (I'm a wildlife geek), reading snobby books, being a general sassmouth. I'm trying to get back into my more crafty hobbies, like crocheting, but this is difficult because I haven't got very much money.
11. Are you open to being friended on DW?:
Yes.
12. If so, anything future friends need to know?:
There is a very high possibility that I'm going to start flooding it with photo journal entries. I recently did a document my day type of project and it was 100000x more fun than just writing about it. My posting and commenting also tends to be on the erratic side since I make sure my life is as hectic as possible.

2. Journalling veteran, or newbie?:
Newbie. I've been journaling for about 10 months.
3. Do you write in your journal, do art, or mix of both?:
Both.
4. If you're the arty type, what kind of art do you do?:
Collage, observational drawing, doodles.
5. If you're the writing type, what kind of things do you write about?:
Boring details about my day, vents about my feelings, plans for the future, lists of good things that have happened to me.
6. Why do you love to journal?
It enables me to have a testing ground for art stuff so I can experiment and a place to put my feelings and work things out. I also like books as objects in themselves and as a way to remember the past.
7. Do you collect anything for your journal, like deco tape/receipts/stickers?:
I hoard loads of random junk for collage-magazines, litter, receipts and so on. I've also started collecting journals.
8. Any brands of journals or supplies that you swear by (Moleskine, Daler-Rowney paints, etc.)?:
Not really. I tend to use whatever is to hand.
9. What's your favourite journalling-related website? Do you have a journalling website?:
I follow a ton of journaling websites, but my favourite two aren't strictly journalling websites. I love Doodler's Anonymous and Not Paper for collage.
10. What hobbies do you have, other than journalling?:
Art stuff, reading, cooking.
11. Are you open to being friended on DW?:
Yes.
12. If so, anything future friends need to know?:
I don't update very often and probably will even less now since I've started an art foundation course and all my energy (very limited due to chronic illness) is going on that.

2. Journalling veteran, or newbie?:
Kinda in-between. I attempted to keep a diary by myself as a child and it didn't really work, but my mum was always into scrapbooking with me (I think if Embodiment had been around back then I might have done a better job of diarykeeping!). I've been journalling online since the age of sixteen. Then, three years ago, I decided to start Embodiment, too.
3. Do you write in your journal, do art, or mix of both?:
I do both.
. If you're the arty type, what kind of art do you do?:
Collages, sketches, random doodles, watercolour - anything that takes my fancy, really, there's no real rules in my journal.
5. If you're the writing type, what kind of things do you write about?:
Mainly day-to-day stuff but I also ramble on about memories and thoughts that nobody else but me would really give two monkeys about. ;P
6. Why do you love to journal?
It's because it's a physical record, it's creative and therapeutic, and given that it's currently a very busy time in my life (university, yay) - my final year will be over before I know it. Lord knows the past two years have gone quick. By doing Embodiment, I have a record of that time, and that means a lot to me.
7. Do you collect anything for your journal, like deco tape/receipts/stickers?:
All three of the above and more. I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to "special things" like tickets, postcards, little charms and keepsakes n' the like, so my journal also gives me a place to put all this stuff.
8. Any brands of journals or supplies that you swear by (Moleskine, Daler-Rowney paints, etc.)?:
Moleskines are easily one of the best brands I've used for journals - one of my good friends (and fellow mod) Ad recommended them early on, and loads of people on my illustration course use them as well. I currently use a red Notebook, and although some of the pages have got a bit crinkly thanks to my media getting a bit heavy, the book still hasn't fallen to bits. Sturdiness is definitely a win for me.
I also like Winsor & Newton/Daler-Rowney paints. I was told early on in my foundation art course to invest in a decent set.
9. What's your favourite journalling-related website? Do you have a journalling website?:
I don't have one per se, but I do have a Flickr gallery, and a page on my public blog. As for recommendations, I follow the "art journal" tag on Tumblr and often find some pretty cool things.
10. What hobbies do you have, other than journalling?:
Given that I have a dissertation to write, not many. *lol* I do learn sign language in my spare time, though, and I also like to read and go shopping. I'm big into Japanese fashion, too.
11. Are you open to being friended on DW?:
If we've got stuff in common, sure.
12. If so, anything future friends need to know?:
I'm going through my third year at uni so I do tend to go quiet or, alternatively, rant. That's pretty much all I can think of off the top of my head, though.
